Bambara Cambridge Sustainable Practices
Bambara Cambridge is dedicated to environmental responsibility. By promoting eco friendly practices and by using organic and local foods, Bambara succeeds in its focus on a greener future while delivering only the best seasonal American dishes to your table. Below are some of our current environmentally friendly practices:
- Bambara Cambridge supports farms, ranches and fisheries that are guided by the principles of sustainability.
- Our exceptional wine list is made up of sustainable, organic and biodynamic wines.
- We proudly serve Aquahealth water that we bottle on-premises in an effort to reduce our carbon footprint.
- Chef Silva adheres to the Monterey Bay Seafood Watch program standards when selecting seafood for the menu.
- All take-out containers are made from recycled cane fiber.
- Bambara avoids disposable packaging, using only hard reusable containers for food storage.
- We recycle all glass, paper, cardboard and aluminum. We do not use Styrofoam for any purpose.
- All menus are printed on recycled paper with soy ink wherever possible.
- Bambara uses only biodegradable, eco-friendly cleaning supplies.
- Employees use washable mugs and glasses for their beverages.
- All of our excess cooking oils and grease are recycled into bio-diesel fuels.
- Our kitchen uses low-flow dishwashing spray valves and faucet aerators on bathroom and hand-wash stations.
- We use energy efficient lighting in kitchen areas and motion sensors in low-occupancy storage areas.
- All exit lights have been converted to LED.
